Cartier's Data Office department is the central entity at Cartier for building infrastructure and help enable use cases around data.

The department’s main mission is to accelerate Cartier’s digital transformation by enabling state-of-the-art analytics Maison-wide, and by developing end-to-end solutions to support our business and to create value for both our internal users and clients. 

To achieve this mission in a scalable, secured, and governed way, Cartier’s Data Office is organized around 3 pillars: Data Transformation, Cloud Engineering and Data Science & Analytics.

 

The Data Science & Analytics team is looking for an Analytics Engineer.

 

WHAT IS YOUR MISSION?

 

As an Analytics Engineer from Cartier’s Data Office, you relay the vision and the data strategy of the organization. You help department teams on their journey to build data products and extract value from it. You provide extensive knowledge and expertise on various subjects ranging from data analytics to data platform. 

In addition to that you are acting as an active promotor of data culture and awareness through ongoing trainings, learning materials and support. 

You will be fully integrated in the delivery process, from defining project requirements, setting up the right tools and foundations and up-skilling the end users to ensure full ownership of the developed solution.  

You will also define best practices, ensure that they are being applied and create learning materials such as templates or tutorials.

 

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

 

You will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Enabler for Cartier departments:
    • Collaborate with department stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable requirements for data product development.
    • Support Cartier teams develop their data products using appropriate technologies and tools.

 

  • Technical experts with extensive knowledge on data analytics:
    • Share learning materials to the analytics community.
    • Provide technical guidance and support on data modeling best practices.
    • Ensure compliance regarding mandatory best practices. 

 

  • Product owner on analytics tools:
    • Product lifecycle management: Gather user feedback on tools used (dbt and Looker) and implement new features.
    • Technology watch: follow and communicate, if needed, tech trends for analytics, maintain close collaboration with strategic partners such as Google 
    • Monitoring on tools usage: adoption, performance, issues...  

 

 

WHO YOU ARE?

 

  • MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent quantitative fields.
  • Ability to translate business needs/constraints into technical terms.
  • Strong interdisciplinary communication and cooperation skills
  • Explain complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Willingness to grow and evolve in a constantly changing environment and manage ambiguity
  • Flexible, autonomous, and responsible
  • Critical thinking
  • Solid knowledge in BI. Experience in Looker, Looker Studio, or PowerBI is a plus. 
  • Extensive knowledge on SQL, Git (Python a very nice to have)
