AdresWe are currently looking for a Data and M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) Training Officer in Ukraine, to support Ukrainian-led organizations and enhance their connectivity with the international humanitarian system and funding streams The Training Officer will train and/or directly assist local/Ukrainian humanitarian response partners identified through the Localisation Team’s Information Management Support workstreams in as-needed Data and information management (IM) tasks, to include program Monitoring and Evaluation-related tasks. This is a great role for those interested in gaining experience in community capacity-building with support from a strong team, while bridging the spheres of information management and locally-driven humanitarian response. This role is likely to require regular presence in/travel to security-approved areas in East and South Ukraine, including Kharkiv city.

REACH is seeking an experienced candidate to act as Data and M&ETraining Officer. The ideal candidate should have 1 year of work experience with Monitoring & Evaluation/MEAL activities in the humanitarian sector, as well as familiarity with Excel, Kobo, and PowerBI. They will be open, creative, and adaptable in working with community actors who have alternate approaches to information management and varying levels of data literacy.
Under the supervision of the IMPACT/REACH Localisation Team Lead, the Training Officer will be responsible for increasing the capacity of identified local partners by supporting them in a variety of IM tasks. These tasks include but may not be limited to: program Monitoring and Evaluation design, analysis, and reporting; coding of data collection tools using open-source platforms such as Kobo; needs assessment design; general data processing and data transformation activities, data visualization activities, and narrative reporting of such data; and confidentiality and data protection. Many IM support activities will take place in Kharkiv City; if the candidate does not live in Kharkiv City, frequent travel to this location will be a requirement.
REQUIREMENTS
Academic An educational background in a sphere of social sciences, data science or information management is desirable but not required;
Years of work experience At least 1 year of experience with Monitoring & Evaluation/MEAL activities in the humanitarian sector is strongly desired; past experience training community actors is an asset;
Familiarity with the aid system Familiarity with the aid system, and the research community is an asset;
Cross-cultural work environmentAbility to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility.
Language skills Fluency in Ukrainian and working proficiency in English and Russian is required;
Software skills Proven knowledge of Excel, Kobo, and PowerBI is a hard requirement.
