Job Description
- Establish market and industry requirements, customer and quality expectations, legal obligations, and strategically determined Ford Trucks Program vision, providing guidance for necessary product development/engineering actions.
- Monitor market dynamics, closely follow up competitors, make frequent field visits, and lead sub-dealers throughout Turkey, Europe, and other regions.
- Examine and report on country regulations and changes, actively creating action plans for solutions.
- Determine vehicle needs based on trends in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle Market and execute Product Marketing strategy and planning aligned with Ford Trucks business objectives.
- Evaluate sources of disruption, understand the customer decision journey, and utilize key personas for transition.
- Bring experience in User Experience and Design experiments, analyze customer needs, and participate in product strategy and planning.
- Lead regional product roadmap: capture, understand, and prioritize work from various inputs, acting as the voice of the customer.
- Develop product ideas and oversee projects through different teams, coordinating with Sales, Aftersales, Sales Planning & Operations, MTG, MP&L, importers, and customers.
- Guide new product initiatives from inception to launch, coordinating with PM, MP&L, Sales, NMP, and Ford Trucks Tribes.
- Create and control product materials for documents (spec sheets, catalog, etc.), marketing communication materials (websites, social media, publishing, etc.), and training to support dealers and customers.
- Conduct positioning and feasibility studies, manage price and product profitability.
- Develop and commission downstream service or IT projects to support vehicle sales.
- Determine the Platform, Product Life Cycle, and product features aligned with customer needs and expectations.
- Create Product and Business Plans for Ford Trucks globally, studying wholesale revenue and potential orders for projects forming the cycle plan and profitability evaluation.
- Analyze Heavy Commercial Markets in different regions and create segment reports, performing product gap analyses in different markets, understanding market niche products, market drivers, challenges, competitors and creating quarterly reports.
- Follow industry press, conduct research on new products and technologies within the responsible region.
- Continuously assess market traction and competitiveness, re-evaluating New Product Introductions (NPI), pricing, or end-of-life (EOL) actions.
- Conduct Voice of Customer & Segmentation analysis, spending time with customers, and identifying high-value problems, performing customer market segmentation analysis.
- Identify and state the target segment and problem to be solved in value propositions.
- Understand the value drivers and quantify them relative to the Next Best Alternative in value propositions.
- Develop business and marketing strategies, making short and long-term plans with profit, volume, and market share objectives.
- Be involved in & manage all product-related sales and marketing issues within the organization to realize sales volume targets.
- Execute planned country-wide and regional sales and marketing activities to reach targets.
- Develop the product strategy, short and long-term roadmap.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (in English and Turkish)
- Strong adaptation, collaboration skills, and ability to take initiative.
- Self-starter, team player, analytical thinker, creative, and have strong interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Care deeply about user experience and are passionate about problem-solving
- 4+ years of experience in product management/development
- Exceptional analytical skills to break down complex problems and ability to think out-of-box solutions
- Must possess excellent business judgment, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done
- Proven track record in taking ownership and moving with speed and decisiveness to implement ideas in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Enjoys working in international cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, ability to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, analytical, customer-oriented, and result-driven
