Partnerships & Advocacy Manager

Brief description:

The Advocacy and Partnerships Manager will support ATAA Senior Management Team to develop programs plan and support strategic engagement with providing senior humanitarian leadership and implementation of the humanitarian mechanism based on ATAA Humanitarian Policy and represent ATAA regionally and internationally. She/he works closely with the GM and SMT and provide leadership to expand the organization’s brand, as well as increase partnership opportunities with current and new donors. The post holder will provide policy and advocacy technical assistance to ATAA programs for improved access to other sectors.

Responsibilities :

• In coordination with the Grant and Partnership Directors and Programs Directors ensure close oversight of implementing partners to ensure a coordinated and compliant rollout of the implementation modalities.
• Work with the SMT to pursue business development opportunities, nurturing relationships with donors, potential ones as they relate to diversifying ATAA funding base.
• Ensure strategic and high-level representation for ATAA and directly undertake advocacy and influencing with humanitarian leadership according to the international standards.
• Coordinate with global actors at the regional level to facilitate and support engagement in humanitarian system processes in the region.
• Work closely, build, and maintain the relations with the donors and open new sectors/relations in coordination with the SMT and according to ATAA strategic plan.
• Organize strategic meetings, workshops and learning events with the senior management team on the humanitarian action.
• Advise ATAA to develop its fundraising mechanism and promotes it to be applicable and increase the fundraising opportunities.
• Support the Media and Advocacy team to develop ATAA humanitarian brand, visibility, marketing strategy to both regional and global levels.
• Identify and gather intelligence on relevant policy processes and bodies that can significantly contribute to the advancement and impact of advocacy priorities.
• Provide technical oversight and contribution from ATAA side to regional and global reports, analyses, and advocate notes.

• Approval of the commitment with the policies of (policy of child safeguarding, protection from sexual abuse and exploitation, protection from workplace harassment – ATAA Policy – Code of Conduct – Conflict of Interest Policy)

Required experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in social science/business/international development or any related field.
• Minimum Five years as a development/humanitarian professional of which two years were in a senior position
• Experience speaking and presenting publicly in front of small and large groups.
• Experience tailoring communication approaches to an intended audience.
• Good understanding of donor rules and regulations and the implementation of strong compliance and control framework.
• Prior experience in complex protracted humanitarian context as well as emergency response contexts.
• High Communication Skills and Representation
• Fluent in English and Arabic language.
• Ability to travel to program and global conferences/meetings when required.
• Ability to work outside of core business hours including evenings and weekends based on business need.
• Experience in the Syrian context is highly preferred.
