Scope:
Specialized in Ocean & Air Services pricing, significantly increase the success ratio on global, regional, and local RFQs, by working strategically on those tenders, in conjunction with Tender Owners, Regional Pricing Team, Gateway Managers, Local Managers, Regional product / Geo, Vertical managers.
Manage a spot pricing structure that will deliver high return on investment. Ensure alignment with Regional and Global Spot pricing KPIs and strategy as well as regular reporting to local & regional management
Operations:
RFQs
Support branch product managers and Euro pricing team in completing all regional / local RFQs, and in particular:
Support on pre-engagement for upcoming RFQs
Actively support in building pricing strategy
Support or drive related procurement process when required
Using existing tools and benchmark / market information to achieve competitive pricing, in line with bid strategy
Ensuring efficient and competitive pricing
Ensuring deadlines are met
Playing a “catalyst” role in defining the right pricing, between bid owners, gateway managers, product managers, regional / global pricing team, carriers (when applicable), customer (when opportunity arises)
Participate on weekly / monthly regional or sub-regional pricing and RFQ reviews
Regular communication with Product Managers & District Manager on:
RFQ pipeline
Market update
Specific challenges related to pricing and RFQ management
SPOT QUOTING
Manage a spot pricing structure focusing on air export and import spot quote requests for the Districts
Ensure alignment with regional & global spot pricing KPIs, strategy and processes
Deliver added-value reporting and analytics on spot quoting activity, with an aggressive return on investment objective
Implement regular reporting to spot pricing key stakeholders as well as regional product & Geo
Knowledge:
Strong market and competition knowledge
Thorough understanding of ocean freight & air freight pricing.
Skills:
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word etc.)
Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
Good language skills (English and local regional if/when needed)
Turkish is must.
Excellent communication skills.
Very detail oriented & strong analytical skills.
Proven negotiation skills & ability to have strategic approach to business opportunities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
