The Role

You will be a member of the Technical Services teams and is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud platforms. This role involves crafting and implementing comprehensive test plans, conducting various testing activities using automated test tools and manual testing, and identifying defects to help improve overall quality of the Customer Technology platforms.

You will help deliver impactful software through meticulous testing and thorough documentation.

The Team

The Quality Engineer is a member of a dedicated testing practice within the Technical Services team. Reporting directly to the Technical Practices Manager, you will be working along side other Quality Engineers, passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of our Customer Technology solutions. This team are the custodians of the test suite and are responsible for maintaining a suite of manual and automated test scenarios.

You will work with roles, including, but not limited to

  • Software Engineers
  • Business Analysts
  • Product Managers
  • Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Functional Consultants
  • Engineering Managers

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of Salesforce CRM platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ and BIlling, identifying and resolving issues in UX, data integration, and system performance.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, including Journey Builder, Email Studio and Data Extensions.
  • Execution Validation: Collaborate with the CRM Platforms Delivery team to ensure sales, service, CPQ and billing implement in line with defined parameters and success criteria.
  • Data Integrity: Validate E2E data flows and integrations, maintaining flawless synchronisation and consistency between various coordinated systems.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regular regression testing to assure stability and reliability of enhancements and configurations.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of test cases, processes, and results to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Support the creation of post-sprint reports and other business engagement reporting assets.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams like marketing, data services, and Workday to troubleshoot and optimise end-to-end processes. Perform Integration testing/UAT if required and document outcomes.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement enhancements to testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and detail the test scenarios
  • Provide to Agile delivery rituals and practices

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant subject area
  • Commercial experience in quality assurance and software testing with either Salesforce CRM or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with Jira Xray
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.

Other Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and collaborators.
  • Experience with Test Automation Tools such as Playwright and UiPath
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM concepts including Sales, Service, CPQ and Billing execution and data integration.
  • Familiarity with SQL, SOQL, scripting languages, and data manipulation for testing purposes.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Innovative thinking and a proactive approach to finding opportunities for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the CRM and Marketing Cloud platforms.
