The focus of this role is enabling the high-speed balancing and testing of different rotor types by developing processes and supporting all spin pit activities with respect of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs.
Your roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for the NPI (New Process Implementation) process of the spin pit including high speed balancing, mechanical tests of steam turbine rotors, gas turbine rotors and electrical/mechanical tests of generator rotors
- Feasibility studies regarding the fulfilment of technical requirements based on existing capabilities and installed equipment
- Definition of Testing and measuring concepts according to EHS regulations, specifications, and quality requirements
- Definition of needed tools and equipment
- Calculation resource requirements and through put time
- Development of new or update to existing processes
- Preparation of manufacturing documents and measurement protocols
- Responsible for the measurement processes needed to balance several types of rotors and the electrical testing of generator rotors
- Evaluation of measured rotor dynamic and electrical data
- Support and identification of continuous improvement opportunities for the spin pit maintenance program
- Trouble shooting and production support in case of machine downtime or quality issues
- Preparation of technical input for nonconformance reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with focus on rotor dynamic or equivalent knowledge
- Strong experience in high-speed balancing or similar discipline
- Electrotechnical knowledge
- Experience of measurement and Analysis techniques
- Good German and English skills both in spoken and written
