Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project
- Implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems
- Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/ problems
- Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
- Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
- Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures. - Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues. - Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. - Develop and analyze 2D and 3D dynamics models to support the design and development of aircraft engines. Provide engine loads to design groups and provide guidance for loads interpretation.
- Direct and monitor vibration testing of aircraft engines, summarize engine test results, and correlate dynamics models to test data.
- Prepare reports and present to engineering leadership, engine program customers, and airframe customers.
- Support and enhance the development of 2D and 3D analytical dynamics tools and the engine vibration testing process.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
At least 3 additional years of experience in Engineering position.
Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with vibration analysis and vibration testing
- Experience in vibration testing, vibration analysis and rotor balancing processes
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Familiarity with NASTRAN, LSDYNA or other finite element computer codes (modeling and dynamic analysis) - Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work with and/or direct global team members and purchased service engineers.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
