The Data Governance & Enablement team, a vital part of Digital Solutions, is passionate about boosting data excellence enabling value creation from our data products. This newly established department is an integral component of Vestas' innovative Digital Powerhouse. 
Our mission is to Empower Digital Solutions and Data Products in Vestas by governing data as an asset to create accurate and reliable core data. We enable digital scalability and resilience by establishing a collective Data Governance practice with clear accountability and value centric focus in which data literacy is an integrated capability in data driven decision making. For this creating transparency on data quality and governance from an analytical standpoint, is crucial. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform data profiling, develop approved set of data quality rules / requirements, and assess against these rules to accurately measure data quality levels across various dimensions (completeness, accuracy, timeliness, lineage and meta data).
  • Proactively monitor and analyze data quality across various objects, prioritize data errors, and decide on disposition according to magnitude and business relevance.
  • Notify operations of data quality events to correct data errors. Effectively collaborate with Data governance leads and data suppliers to understand root causes and implement corrective action plans to permanently eliminate issues.
  • Support the Data management product owner and marketplace lead in establishing reporting for adoption. 
  • Create reports / presentations to effectively communicate data quality performance levels/ trends and status of continuous improvement activities to global / regional stakeholders.
  • Review systems, business processes and data flows, determine locations where defective data can leak into information, and propose improvement opportunities.
  • Establish data quality performance targets and service level agreements (SLAs) with operational data suppliers.

 

Qualifications 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in data science, data analytics, information management, statistics or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science / analytics with additional experience in quality management / engineering or continuous improvement methods.
  • Have experience with PowerBI including data modelling, visualization and writing DAX expressions.
  • Be able to understand business processes, data structures and how they interact.
  • Have a passion for engaging with business, technical and IT colleagues with strong drive and a passion for delivering high quality.
  • Be self-motivated and possess an analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
  • A high proficiency in written and spoken English.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you:

  • Quality Management / Engineering or Lean Six Sigma GB Certification.
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
  • Microsoft Azure Data, Microsoft SQL Server.
  • SharePoint Developer and other related Microsoft products.
  • Data management platform, Informatica.
