Job Title: Finance (Accounting) Coordinator

Job Purpose

As an Accounting Coordinator, the primary responsibility is to support the effective functioning of the accounting department by overseeing and executing a range of financial tasks. the employee will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating with different departments, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

He focus will be on streamlining financial processes, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. Additionally, he will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and discrepancies, contributing to the overall financial health and integrity of the organization. This role demands a meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing insights to aid in financial decision-making. Monitor expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets.
  • Accounting Systems: Utilize expertise in accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Reviewing: Reviewing the records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Present financial information to management and stakeholders as required.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure the organization's financial practices adhere to these changes. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Archiving: Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting auditors throughout the process.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data, provide financial insights, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

      \\- Documentation: Maintain an organized and efficient system for financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, and financial agreements. - Training: Provide training and support to staff members on financial procedures and policies, promoting a culture of financial responsibility and transparency. - Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.…. - Commitment to implementing the child safeguarding and PSEA policy by considering them when planning and designing activities as well as when receiving complaints or observing issues related to this matter and fulfill their obligation to report it directly via the assigned channels or directly to senior management. Raising awareness to their assigned staff of the child safeguarding and PSEA policy plus reporting mechanisms and how to deal with it. \\\*\\\*Note:\\\*\\\* the above-mentioned key responsibilities / accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of progressive, relevant experience, preferably in an NGO or nonprofit organization.
  • Advance level in English and fluent in Arabic

Desirable:

  • Advanced university degree in Finance, or related fields..
  • More than 5 years in relevant experience.
  • Advanced level of both English, and Turkish.

  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
