Based at our office in Ankara, Turkey - EMEA Region Lead Procurement Specialist will drive the execution of electrical commodity purchase orders with suppliers. The role will entail close alignment with Engineering, Quality and Sourcing functions, as well as other key stakeholders, and will be focusing on Direct materials.
You'll manage dynamic priorities, necessitating minimal guidance, and emphasize effective communication with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Executes the follow-up activities of the POs
  • Manages relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Manages problems and schedule changes
  • Keeps ERP updated with most recent and accurate forecast.
  • Ensures smooth supplier payment activities.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience
  • Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures
  • Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues
  • Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  • Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
  • Lead discussions with suppliers during execution in case of claims, PO changes in coordination with the Project.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or in a similar technical discipline from a reputable university
  • Significant experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing activities in technical commodities
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and flexible
  • Solid excel, smartsheet and other transactional skills
  • Familiarity with contract execution in Procure to Pay systems with SAP based ERP systems
  • Fluent English

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in Power Plant Electrical Commodities and related suppliers
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or in a similar discipline from a reputable university
  • French or German Language is an adder
  • Experience in the Energy industry / Hydropower projects is a strong plus
  • Ability and ownership to drive improvements and change with tangible results Aptitude to work in a global environment and matrix organization
