The Lead Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.

Hydro Power – a major player in the hydroelectricity generation market - is the part of GE Vernova. This includes the designing, manufacturing, and installation of equipment for both gravity fed and pumped-storage hydroelectric power plants, as well as servicing and refurbishing existing facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development.
- Being the single interface between the supplier and GE Vernova all along project execution (Quality & Technical).
- Managing Supplier Approval & Supplier Selection.
- Leading Supplier Qualification & Product Qualification.
- Performing Supplier Continuous Improvement program with strong supplier performance monitoring.
- Driving quality for assigned electrical equipment suppliers including quality plan implementation.
- Owning supplier results, improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, audits, ensuring compliance and driving improvement plans where needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering from accredited university
- Demonstrated experience in Supplier Quality engineering
- Experience in the Heavy Industry (Energy, Power Generation, Metallurgy, Heavy Machinery)
- Fluent English
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Welding / NDT certification and experience
- Mechanical Engineering graduation is a plus
- French / German would be a plus
- Ability to work in cross-functional and global team environments
- Strong analytical skills in supplier performance, RCA
- Strong interpersonal skills with the availability to lead meeting in GE and on supplier side
