About the School: The focus of the foundation on the education vertical has culminated in the establishment of Kamal Vidya Niketan. This English medium school is meant to be a one-of-a-kind school of excellence in Indiaâs most illiterate district Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh and is meant to serve children who come from the marginalized communities in the region. The first phase of the school will start with 120 students starting from playgroup to grade 2 in July 2024. You can read more about the project here.
Key Responsibilities: As a Lead Teacher, you will be part of the founding team at the school and this role is pivotal in transforming the school ecosystem. As an aspiring transformational teacher within the classroom, you will lead by example, serving as an instructional leader and culture builder. The responsibilities are divided into four domains: Teaching, Coaching and Managing, Operational Support, and Documentation.
Teaching (25%):
⢠Infuse joy and passion for learning in classrooms.
⢠Set a high standard of pedagogy and content excellence for the school.
⢠Design innovative Annual Plans, Unit Plans, and Lesson Plans rooted in Project Based Learning principles.
⢠Teach English as a subject to three classes at school (Nursery, KG1 & KG2), achieving stellar outcomes through regular assessments and data analysis.
Coaching and Managing (50%):
⢠Inspire teachers for collective impact on students.
⢠Lead a team, setting ambitious goals aligned with the school vision.
⢠Develop professional growth plans for teachers and empower them through coaching and support.
⢠Co-create the school's culture and strategy as a leader alongside the School CEO.
Operational Support (20%):
⢠Collaborate on systems that promote joyful and inclusive learning experiences.
⢠Plan and execute daily operations, ensuring smooth routines and transitions.
⢠Co-create holistic projects for students' exposure and holistic learning.
Documentation (5%):
⢠Work with teachers to document redesign practices in alignment with the school goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
⢠Contribute actively to organizational culture, values, and processes as a Founding team member.
⢠Collaborate with the Founder to establish teacher and student-centric systems.
⢠Participate in the selection process by interviewing applicants for school-related roles.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
⢠Bachelor's in Education (B.Ed.) degree or a Diploma in Education with strong academic and holistic performance.
⢠Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
⢠Experience working with adults in a professional capacity (preferred).
⢠Pedagogy and Curriculum expertise in 1-2 subject domains.
⢠Planning and execution skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and resilience.
⢠Data-based decision-making.
⢠Highly motivated, persevering, and achievement-oriented with the ability to navigate uncertainty.
⢠Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility in planning, and teamwork.
⢠Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
⢠Fluency in Hindi language as well

⢠This school is set up in Kathiwada, which is remotely located and rural. The nearby airports are Vadodara and Indore.
