Accounting Specialist

This role is based in Dilovası / Kocaeli and you will be closely working with the Howden Global Finance team. The main purpose of the role will be to manage the company’s accounting tasks in cooperation with the external Accountant and Auditors and support our global finance department with regular reports and budgeting tasks.

What needs to be done?

To ensure the accounting records of the company are kept correctly and timely,

To ensure the declaration notifications to the official institutions are made on time,

Accounting and recording all valuable documents, invoices and contracts in the system,

To follow the changes made in general legislation such as accounting legislation, tax legislation, commercial law, labor law, social security law and to ensure compliance within the company,

Preparing the period closing, income statements and balance sheet and their reconciliations and expense analysis

Checking the accuracy of current accounts and making account reconciliations of companies,

Following up the documents required by the VAT refund process and conducting the tax office relations, preparing the refund files, following the deductions and making correspondence with the relevant institutions.

Preparing internal financial reports and coordinating IC accounts.

What do you need to bring?

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another related field.

Moderate (2-3 years+) experience in accounting preferably in an international organization

Strong multi-functional capability and focus on details.

Excellent PC skills especially MS office

Knowledge and experience with Accounting programs

Experience in local tax regulations

Good team player, strong communication skills,

Analytical thinking with innovative point of view, high problem-solving skill,

Willing to take initiative and responsibility,

Medium level of verbal and written skills in English
