EHS Engineer - Environment

Position Purpose:

You will be reporting to the EHS Director.
What will you do – responsibilities:
 

• Responsible for initiating/supporting the implementation of Environmental projects on-site and actively takes part in cross-functional projects and ensures environmental aspects of the projects are in line with global and local EHS standards
• Check EHS aspects of the works in line with IWS, identify the hazards, assess the risks, and ensure that control measures are implemented to maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all the employees by taking into account the legislative, industry, and JTI Global EHS requirements
• Actively participate in the implementation of global EHS strategy, standards, objectives, programs, and local EHS programs in the organization to contribute; to creating a safe workplace & safety culture in the organization
• Prepare and follow up the global/local monthly Environmental reports, and legally required reports and coordinate with the related departments. Monitor the deadlines of legal permissions' and prepare the renewal applications
• Ensure Operating and Capital Expenditures are in line with Annual Strategic Plan
• Develop & conduct environment training & orientation programs for the employees, contractors, and trainees and ensure the environmental standards are properly implemented
• Maintain Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001 standards to retain certification

Who are we looking for – requirements:
 

• University degree in Engineering, (preferably in Environmental Engineering)
• Minimum 2 years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing environment will be an advantage
• Safety Expert Certificate (B or C level) will be an advantage
• Environment and Risk Assessment knowledge
• Good knowledge of MS Office programs
• Advanced level of English
