Manager, Financial Forecasting (Temp)

The Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) leads Gavi’s forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes building Gavi’s enterprise planning, including financial projections, volumes and staffing plans. This planning serves to align the organisation, providing a clear financial roadmap, aligned to Gavi's mission and strategic objectives.  FP&A delivers information and analysis to the business in a number of ways to meet the different teams’ requirements. The Manager, Financial Forecasting will work closely with the other FP&A team members and will be responsible for providing support to the team on the financial forecast as well as resource monitoring & reporting.

Strategic Long Term Financial Forecast (SLTF)

•Coordinate input (in tandem with other team members and the Senior Manager, Forecasting) for the financial forecast; with particular focus on cash inflows (including direct contributions and investment income) and vaccines expenditure forecasting;

•Conduct variance analysis (forecast to forecast; actuals to forecast) for each period;

•Co-draft financial forecast papers for the Audit Finance Committee (AFC) & Board;

•Input into the monthly / quarterly Senior Leadership Team management reports;

•Maintain forecast consolidation models and refine as necessary to meet ongoing needs;

•Review inputs, edit, prepare & consolidate forecast datasets for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Business Partnering

•Focal point for the preparation of the bi-annual web report updates;

•Provide and review relevant financial data for Gavi’s annual publications (Annual Progress Report, Annual Financial Report);

•Provide support for ad-hoc requests, including for the financial forecast and resource reporting;

•Act as the point-person in the FP&A team for all forecast related matters with the vaccine forecasting team.

•Relevant financial and/or business qualification. 

•Minimum of 5 years experience with progressive responsibility in analytical reporting, budgeting, monitoring and/or product related forecasting positions in international development, public health, consulting industry or comparable multinational environment;

•Experience in working with developing countries and public health is an asset;

•Experience in finance business partnering is a plus.

•Experience with Financial Forecasting and reporting, ability to define planning models for actual to plan reporting and analysis and strategic forecasting;

•Experience with SAP, SAC or other planning & forecasting related systems (implementation or power user).

•Written and spoken fluency in English.

•Fluency in French other languages of Gavi-supported countries an asset.
